The Conservative Parish Councils Network is an independent grassroots Network focused on Parish and Town Councils across England and Wales and united by our shared belief in Conservative and common-sense values.

Our network has broad reach across the United Kingdom, bringing together Parish and Town Councillors and the nation's Borough, District, County and Unitary Councillors in our campaign to promote Conservative values at the most local tier of government.

We believe only Conservative values and policies can lead the way for local government to create prosperous and vibrant communities across the country. And at a time of sky-high Council Tax rates and failing 'woke obsessed’ Councils up and down the country, these values are needed more than ever.

However, the nation's Parish and Town Councils are all too often overlooked. Recent events has shown us that out-of-control precepts, woke policies, and climate fanatics are ever-increasing the pressure on working families and undermining the traditional values that once held our communities together.

PUTTING THE LOCAL BACK INTO LOCAL GOVERNMENT
FISCAL CONSERVATISM
At the Conservative Parish Councils Network, we know that local government decisions can have a huge impact on the lives of families and individuals in our communities. That's why we believe Parish and Town Councils should prioritize fiscal conservatism in all their efforts.
We believe that working families should not be burdened with excessive taxes and fees, and unlike principal authorities like Borough/District, County and Unitary authorities, there is no 3% cap on the rate at which local councils can raise their element of public Council tax bill.
GREATER TRANSPARANCY
Parish and Town Councils are the most direct and accessible form of government for most people, and they should be held to the highest standards of transparency. The Conservative Parish Councils Network works to ensure that local councils are transparent in their decision-making, accountable to the public, and responsive to the needs of their communities.
When it comes to decision-making at our most local level of government, the process should be open and not clouded in tiresome bureaucracy which determines engagement and locks out local residents.
ACCOUNTABLE BY THE PEOPLE
At the Conservative Parish Councils Network, we are dedicated to fostering greater accountability and transparency in local government. We believe that councillors should be more accountable to the people they serve and that decision-making processes should be transparent. Our network works to ensure that councillors are held accountable and that public participation in local decision-making is promoted. We are committed to creating a better, more accountable local government for all.

Left-wing Councillors are all too often happy to vote for tax rises and then hide behind bureaucracy and red tape and hope the public forget the damage they do.
COMMON SENSE POLICIES
The Conservative Parish Councils Network stands for commonsense policies. We believe in fairness for everyone and are committed to fighting against the rise of disastrous woke policies. Our focus is on uniting neighbourhoods rather than dividing them and building strong communities.
